The GDP data of 17 provinces in the first quarter of this year was released, and the year-on-year growth rate of 13 places outperformed the whole country.

  Since the National Bureau of Statistics released the main economic data for the first quarter of this year on April 18th, various provinces have released local data one after another recently.

  According to The Paper’s incomplete statistics, as of April 21st, at least 17 provinces including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi and Ningxia have released their economic data for the first quarter of this year.

  From the data point of view, the GDP of Zhejiang, Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan and Shanghai in the first quarter of this year exceeded 1 trillion yuan.

  In terms of year-on-year growth rate, 13 of the 17 provinces are higher than the national data (4.5%), namely Jilin (8.2%), Ningxia (7.5%), Hainan (6.8%), Inner Mongolia (5.6%), Tianjin (5.5%), Hubei (5.1%) and Qinghai (5.1%). Among them, Jilin Province performed brilliantly, with a year-on-year growth rate of 3.7 percentage points higher than that of the whole country.

  Earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics released data on April 18, and preliminary accounting showed that China’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of this year was 28,499.7 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year and 2.2% quarter-on-quarter over the previous year at constant prices.
